NIS Boss Extends Condolences to Family of Late President Yar’adua

On September 5, 2024, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, KN Nandap, pcc, fsm, mmis, was represented by CIS Mohammed Adamu Mahmoud, pcc, fcilrm, cna, the Comptroller of the Katsina State Command. Accompanied by several management staff, he paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of the late President Malam Umaru Musa Yar’adua at their residence in Yar’adua Quarters, Katsina.

The visit was in remembrance of Hajiya Binta (Dada), the beloved mother of the late President, who passed away two days prior. Upon arrival, CIS Mahmoud was warmly received by family members, who expressed their deep appreciation for the gesture.

During the visit, the Comptroller conveyed the heartfelt sympathies of the Comptroller General, emphasizing that the loss of Hajiya Binta is not only a tragedy for her family but also a significant loss to the state and the nation as a whole. He presented a condolence letter and signed the condolence register, taking a moment to pray for Almighty Allah to grant her Jannatul Firdausi—a place of eternal peace—and to bestow strength upon the family during this difficult time.

In response, the family expressed profound gratitude to the Comptroller General for her message of solidarity and offered thanks to CIS Mahmoud for taking the time to extend condolences. The visit underscored the importance of community and support during moments of sorrow, reflecting the shared values that unite the nation.
