Defence Chief to Special Forces Graduates: Go After Our Common Enemies
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has charged the latest batch of Special Operations Forces graduates to remain humble, driven, and committed to protecting the nation.
Speaking at the badge ceremony for Batch 7 graduates at the National Mission Force Headquarters in Bida, Niger State, General Musa emphasized the importance of upholding the core values and principles instilled during their rigorous training.
General Musa highlighted the graduates’ preparedness to face future challenges, underscoring that their character will ultimately define their success in the field. He advised them to remain impartial and maintain neutrality in the line of duty.
The Defence Chief commended their resilience and praised their transformation from trainees to warriors ready to serve.

“As you move forward, remember that your skills are not just about combat, but also about passion, empathy, and understanding towards the people you protect,” General Musa stated.
The graduates, 124 in total, including nine officers and 136 soldiers, underwent 13 weeks of specialized training that began in January 2024. General Musa conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s appreciation for the troops’ unwavering commitment to duty and expressed satisfaction with their outstanding performance in the Warriors Competition in Jordan.
Earlier, Brigadier General IM Falana, Commander of DHQ Special Forces Brigade, lauded the training program’s success in equipping personnel with specialized combat skills.
He acknowledged General Musa’s dedication to the Armed Forces’ welfare and development, crediting his leadership for the program’s achievements. General Falana pledged the Brigade’s loyalty to the CDS and Nigeria.
