Kano Police Confirm Death of Armed Robber After Foiled Attack on Household
An attempted robbery in the Dorayi Babba area of Unguwar Jakada, Kano State, ended fatally for the suspect after he was overpowered during the incident.
The assailant, identified as Musa Nuhu, reportedly broke into a family residence armed with a knife, intending to rob the occupants. During the intrusion, he inflicted injuries on two women in the household.
However, a male member of the family engaged Nuhu in a fierce struggle, resulting in serious injuries to both men. The confrontation ultimately subdued the attacker.

Spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the incident via a statement posted on his official Facebook page.
“The suspect was overpowered after a courageous resistance by the victim,” Kiyawa stated. “He was rushed to the hospital for medical attention but was later confirmed dead due to the injuries he sustained.”
The police have commenced further investigation into the incident, while the injured victims are reportedly receiving treatment.
The command urged members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity to security authorities to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.
