NELFUND Warns Students Against Fake Loan Application Portal
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a warning to students and the general public regarding a fake online portal being circulated with fraudulent claims about the reopening of its student loan application platform.
In an official statement released on Monday in Abuja, the Director of Strategic Communications at NELFUND, Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, discredited the misleading messages making the rounds on social media and various online platforms.
“The attention of NELFUND has been drawn to a fraudulent message currently circulating online, falsely claiming that President Bola Tinubu has ordered the reopening of the NELFUND Student Loan portal,” she stated.
Oluwatuyi pointed out that the deceptive message directs unsuspecting individuals to a fake website:

She reaffirmed NELFUND’s commitment to ensuring transparency, safety, and fairness in the loan application process, stressing that all official announcements will only be made through the Fund’s verified communication channels.
