Customs Public Relations Officers Emerge Overall Best at Command and Staff College Graduation
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has graduated 50 senior officers from the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, with two officers from the Service’s National Public Relations Unit emerging as the Overall Best and Second Best Graduating Students of Senior Course 14/2026.
The feat underscores the growing emphasis being placed on strategic communication, leadership development and professional excellence within the Nigeria Customs Service under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
At the graduation ceremony held on Friday at the Ahmed Makarfi Hall of the College in Gwagwalada, Chief Superintendent of Customs Ridwan Yusuf was named the Overall Best Graduating Student, while Chief Superintendent of Customs Nuruddeen Sa’idu emerged as the Second Best Graduating Student. Both officers are attached to the National Public Relations Unit of the Service.
The Command and Staff Course is one of the highest professional development programmes in the Nigeria Customs Service, designed to prepare senior officers for higher leadership, strategic planning, policy formulation, operational management and command responsibilities.
Addressing the graduating officers, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, represented by the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs Sulaiman Chiroma, congratulated the participants for successfully completing the rigorous programme.
He described the course as a critical investment in leadership capacity and institutional excellence, urging the officers to justify the confidence reposed in them through exemplary service.
