NIPR Adopts Hybrid Screening for Governing Council Aspirants
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has announced that it will adopt a hybrid form of screening to assess the aspirants vying for various offices in its Governing Council.
Chairman of the NIPR 2023 Annual General Meeting Electoral Committee, Casca Ogosu, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
PRNigeria reports that the implementation of the hybrid screening comes in respect to item No. 18 of the 2023 National Election Guidelines.
Ogosu said with this new approach, contestants will have the choice to opt for virtual screening, thus significantly reducing the financial burden incurred when traveling to the venue for the exercise.

“With respect to item No. 18 of the 2023 National Election Guidelines, the Electoral Committee wishes to notify members that hybrid screening has been approved for this year’s election.
“This is due to high cost of physical appearance at the venue of the exercise by some contestant.
“Aspiring council members who wish to opt for virtual screening are required to indicate their preference by submitting their completed nomination forms along with relevant attachments online. The deadline for such submissions has been set for Sunday, 6th August 2023.
“All documents must be merged into a single PDF file and sent to the email address: [email protected],” part of his statement reads.
However, Ogosu said that candidates who can still appear physically at the NIPR head office in Abuja are still welcome, urging them to adhere to the scheduled dates for the screening exercise.
