Youths Digest Institutes Annual Campus Journalism Awards
The Youths Digest magazine has instituted an annual Campus Journalism Award (CJA) to honour outstanding campus journalists, student writers and media publications from tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
Speaking on the award, the Executive Director of Youths Digest, Gidado Y. Shuaib said the annual award would recognise the best in Campus Journalism and celebrate Student journalists, writers, press clubs and campus media outlets.
Gidado said: “The Award which will come up in March 2018 at a Campus Journalism Conference will celebrate the best of journalism practice from the students in tertiary institutions with different categories which include awards for best Campus Writer, Campus Editor, Campus Pen Club, Campus Magazine (Print) and Campus Publication (Online).
“Others include the best News Story, Feature Article, Entertainment Story, Campus Video, News Photography and Campus Influencers on Social Media.”
He added that “Entries for nominations are opened to students of tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The publications for the awards must have been published either in print or online between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017. The Entry and Participation is free.”
The award event is supported by the global award-winning communication firm, Image Merchants Promotion, the Publisher of the Economic Confidential and PRNigeria.
