The Senate today at plenary passed a motion requesting President Goodluck Jonathan to returned to it the original copy of the amended Constitution especially the signature page.
According to the Chairman of the Constitution Review Committee, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, the Committee has started reviewing the President letter through a two day retreat but was incapacitated by the unavailability of the original document and the signature page.
The President has earlier transmitted to the Senate letter withholding assent to the amended Constitution for not satisfying strict requirement of section 9(3) of the 1999 Constitution.
