Tijani, Sanwo-Olu, Bella Disu, Others to Headline 10th Nigeria Digital PR Summit

The 10th edition of the Nigeria Digital Public Relations (PR) Summit is set to gather an impressive lineup of top communicators, business leaders, and innovators — including Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani; Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; and Executive Vice Chairman of Globacom, Mrs. Bella Disu — as keynote speakers.

Organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the landmark summit will hold in Lagos with the theme “Owning Your Narrative: Building Trust and Value in a Digital Era.”

According to a statement signed by organizer, Segun Mcmedal, this year’s edition marks a decade of impact in shaping how communicators, brands, and public institutions use digital storytelling to influence perception and manage reputation.

“The 10th anniversary edition will celebrate innovation, digital transformation, and narrative control. We are bringing together thought leaders who have defined communication practice in the modern age,” McMedal said.

He added that the summit would feature masterclasses, networking sessions, and case studies focusing on AI-driven storytelling, strategic content creation, and digital trust, offering attendees insights into emerging technologies shaping the communication industry.

The President of Upticomm Marketing Company, Mr. Segun McMedal — who is also the Convener of the Summit in collaboration with the Lagos State Chapter of the NIPR, said the 10th edition represents a major milestone in Nigeria’s communication industry, providing a platform for professionals to share knowledge, celebrate achievements, and chart the future of digital public relations.

Among other notable speakers expected at the two-day summit are NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku; Google’s Head of Communications, West Africa, Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade; MTN Nigeria’s Senior Manager of External Relations, Funso Aina; and Public Affairs Director of Nestlé Nigeria, Victoria Uwadoka.

Industry experts say the summit has evolved into Nigeria’s premier platform for PR professionals, journalists, marketers, and brand communicators to learn and share experiences on leveraging digital platforms for public engagement.

Since its inception in 2015, the Nigeria Digital PR Summit has trained over 3,000 practitioners and hosted global partners, including the African Public Relations Association (APRA), the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.

Mcmedals noted that this year’s milestone edition would not only spotlight innovation but also recognise individuals and organisations that have demonstrated excellence in digital communication and reputation management.

The summit is expected to attract participants from both the public and private sectors, with registration now open on the NIPR official portal.
