NAHCON Approves Air Peace, 4 Others for 2027 Hajj Operations
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has approved five airlines to participate in the airlift of Nigerian pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
The commission disclosed this in a public notice issued by its management, saying the selection followed a rigorous screening and evaluation process conducted by its Aviation Screening Committee.
According to NAHCON, the assessment was based on regulatory safety requirements, operational capacity and financial guidelines.
The approved carriers are Air Peace Limited, Flynas, Max Air Limited, Saudi Air and UMZA Aviation Services Limited.
NAHCON said the engagement of the carriers remained subject to the execution of airlift agreements with the commission and fulfilment of requirements set by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation for the 2027 Hajj.

The commission said passenger allocations and airlift schedules would be developed in consultation with the respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and the approved operators.
It added that all designated carriers would be required to comply strictly with Hajj 2027 regulations and operational guidelines.
Among the requirements, NAHCON said tickets must be linked to pilgrims’ Nusuk-Masar data, while airlines must comply with prescribed aviation safety standards and baggage allowances.
The approved baggage allowance is one 32-kilogramme checked bag and one eight-kilogramme hand luggage, in line with regulatory requirements.
NAHCON urged State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, agencies, commissions, intending pilgrims and other stakeholders to cooperate with the approved airlines to facilitate a seamless and safe airlift operation.
The commission said the arrangements were aimed at ensuring a safe, orderly and comfortable airlift experience for Nigerian pilgrims participating in the 2027 Hajj.
