CDCFIB Shortlists Applicants for Physical Screening
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has advanced the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise for four federal paramilitary agencies to the physical screening and document verification stage.
The board disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday by its Secretary, Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril (retd.).
According to the statement, applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test conducted in November 2025 are required to log on to the official recruitment portal to confirm whether they have been shortlisted.
The board said shortlisted candidates would be required to upload their credentials and select a preferred date and venue for the physical screening.
“Applicants are required to log in using the Application Number generated at the time of initial registration,” the statement said.
“If shortlisted, applicants will be required to upload their credentials, select a date and venue of their choice for physical screening. Applicants are advised to carefully follow all instructions outlined on the portal.”
The board directed applicants to access the recruitment portal, recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, between Monday, June 15, and Friday, June 20, to verify their status.
The recruitment exercise covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigerian Correctional Service and Federal Fire Service.
The CDCFIB also warned applicants against paying money to individuals, agents or groups claiming to have influence over the recruitment process.

It stressed that the exercise is entirely free and that no payment is required for shortlisting, venue allocation, document upload, access to screening venues or final selection.
“The Board wishes to emphasise that the recruitment process is completely FREE. Hence, no FEE should be paid by applicants to any individual, agent, group or organisation claiming to render assistance with shortlisting, venue allocation, document upload, access to screening venue, or final selection,” it said.
The board further advised applicants and members of the public to disregard fraudulent recruitment messages, fake links and unauthorised persons claiming to represent the CDCFIB.
It said the recruitment process would be conducted transparently and in accordance with merit, federal character, due process and the operational requirements of the four services.
The exercise commenced with online applications in July 2025 and proceeded to the Computer-Based Test stage in November 2025.
The board had earlier stated that the recruitment process was in its final stages and would be concluded within four weeks.
In a statement reported on August 21, the CDCFIB said it would not sacrifice justice, merit, federal character or due process in an effort to speed up the exercise.
“It is the intention of the CDCFIB not to rush the entire recruitment process, but to bring it to completion without any prejudice to the principles of justice, merit, federal character, due process, and the operational requirements of the four services,” the board said.
It added that the final stages of the recruitment exercise would be completed within four weeks.
