‘Da Rabon Ganawa’: ICRC, RFI Create Radio Program for Displaced Families in North East
The editorial staff of RFI Hausa, based in Lagos, Nigeria, has been offering since November 11 a new humanitarian magazine aimed at families separated as a result of the violence affecting the Lake Chad region and in particular the north-east of Nigeria.
The program is presented by Rukayya Abba Kabara every Thursday at 07:20am, and last for 10 minutes.
Armed conflict and other situations of violence sometimes leave more than physical wounds: in turmoil and panic, family members can be separated within minutes, sometimes leading to years of anguish and uncertainty over the future, fate of children, spouses or parents.
This program is the result of a partnership between the ICRC in Nigeria and the RFI Hausa editorial staff.
