Youths Digest Seeks Entries for Campus Journalism Awards
The annual Campus Journalism Award instituted by the Youths Digest Magazine has called for entries for the 2nd edition of the awards for students in tertiary institutions.
In a statement by the Editor of Youths Digest, Gidado Y. Shuaib invited entries for works done and published in 2018 in 15 categories for Upcoming writer, Entertainment writer, Sports writer, Reporter, Gender equality and Broadcaster.
Others are Photo-journalist, Penclub, Author (Book), Social media influencer, Investigative journalist, Features writer, Editor, Magazine and Campus journalist of the year
The statement read, “The annual Campus Journalism Awards which celebrates Nigerian campus writers/Journalists is open for entries in its second Edition.

“The awards will have fifteen (15) categories while the award ceremony will hold on January 19th, 2019 in Abuja.
“The second edition will accommodate entries from other African Countries with keen interest shown from Ghana, Togo, Benin and Niger. This is in a bid to expand the horizon of appreciation for young writers beyond Nigeria.
“The Panel of Judges for the entries, like in the previous edition are seasoned and respected media practitioners, scholars and the industry players.
“The nominations for the awards must have been published either in print or online between January 1, 2018 to Date. The Entry and Participation were free for all students.
“The Award Committee will assess entries for accuracy, clarity, originality, creativity and the unique styles of delivery. The panel will also consider excellence in artistic presentations that enhance or augment the nominations.”
