PROWA Frees 15 Prison Inmates in Gombe
In her effort towards decongesting the Prisons nationwide, the Controller General of Nigerian Prisons Service wife who’s also the President of the Prisons officers wives Association ( PROWA ) Hajiya Gomma Ja’afaru Ahmed has freed fifteen (15) inmates through payments of their fines in Gombe State Command.

She was represented by the State Controller’s wife who’s also the State PROWA Chairperson Rukayya Abubakar Musa, the exercise lasted two (2) days that’s from Friday 30/11/2018 to Saturday 1/12/2018. The chairperson and her entourage tours all the Prisons in the command where she admonishes the freed inmates against doing any act that will bring them back to the Prisons as inmates, she also interacts with the female inmates calling on them to cooperate with the authority for a successful reformation.
In his response to this gesture, the State Controller Ahmadu Adamu thanked the PROWA President for the giant strides saying this is the first of it’s kind as far as he could remember.
The beneficiaries ( freed inmates ) appreciates the PROWA President for giving them freedom, saying they promise not to indulge in any act that is in conflict with the law in future.
