AAMEI Names PRNigeria Reporter for Eco-Journalism Event
An Education/Defence Correspondent for PRNigeria, Abdulsalam Mahmud, has been selected to attend the African Art and Media for Earth Initiative (AAMEI) Eco-Journalism Academy workshop in Lagos State.
Mahmud, was among the few journalists selected as participants to the special media program, which will take place from 20th to 23rd of February, 2019.
AAMEI, who is the organizer of the workshop had called for entries by Nigerian journalists already covering or passionate about reporting on global issues affecting the environment.

It had while introducing, and announcing the workshop on various social media platforms last November, asked prospective applicants to write an article themed: “Development and Nature – Reporting the connection,” before qualifying to participate.
Mahmud’s entry for the AAMEI’s workshop, which was subsequently published in both Tribune and DailyTrust newspapers, was titled, “Towards a Sustainable Environment.”
According to a mail sent to the PRNigeria reporter, the forthcoming event intends to delve into ways journalism can enhance the relationship between development and nature, in a manner devoid of enmity.
The event will hold at Lufasi Park, Majek 1st Gate, Km 41, Lekki – Epe Expressway, Abijo, in Lagos.
While urging the participants to arrive on Wednesday, February 13th, at the hotel that will be provided for the duration of the workshop, AAMEI advised them to also come with their work tools such as laptops and cameras, among others.
