Buhari appoints Akuma, National Obstetric Fistula Centre, Abakaliki
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr. Johnson Akuma Obuna, as the Substantive Medical Director (MD), National Obstetric Fistula Centre, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, for an initial term of four (4) years, with effect from 5th August, 2019.

Congratulating the new MD, in Abuja, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health, Mr. Abdulaziz Mashi Abdullahi, reminded him of the huge responsibility of his office.
The Permanent Secretary charged Dr. Obuna, who is also an Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, to bring his wealth of experience to bear in addressing the yearnings of Nigerians for an effective and responsive health care delivery system.
He also urged the new MD to justify the confidence reposed in him by Mr. President, through his new appointment.
