NIPR Hosts Strategic PR Programme in Kano…. Registers 22 Student Members
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to host a Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) Programmes at PRNigeria Centre Kano on November 26, 2019.
The Chairman of Membership Committee of NIPR, Dr. Sule Yau Sule disclosed this at a media briefing organised by Image Merchants Promotion Limited, Publishers of PRNigeria and Economic Confidential.
Dr. Sule who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMPR said the training Programme is meant for registered Public Relations Practitioners in Nigeria as one of the criteria for professional upgrade and promotion of members of the institute.
He said the quarterly programme will provide participants with an opportunity to acquire the latest techniques and better skills in strategic communication.

Speaking at the event, the NIPR Chairman Kano state chapter, Mal. Aminu Hamza explained the various benefits attached to membership of the institute and reminded communication students present at the event of the possibility of joining the institute as student-members.
Earlier, in his remarks, the Managing Director of Image Merchants Promotion Limited, Mr. Yushau Shuaib said the PRNigeria Centre Kano was established to provide strategic communication services and offer training and internship programme on investigative journalism and public relations practice.
Shuaib added that the Centre is collaborating with the Correspondent Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists for the hosting of Press Briefing, Media Chats and other activities that would enhance their professional practice.
During a mentorship programme on public relations at the occasion, 22 Students of Faculty of Mass Communication of Bayero University Kano registered as student members of NIPR.
Guests at the event included the Chairman of NIPR Kano Chapter, Mal. Aminu Hamza, Director Platinum FM and WTV, Alhaji Ismail Sani, the Publisher of Daily Nigerian, Mallam Jaafar Jaafar, and Executive Members of Correspondent Chapel.
