NIS Commissions FOB in Daura, Jimeta

The Honorable Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola officially Commissioned the Nigeria Immigration Service Adamawa State Command Complex in Jimeta-Yola, the Minister in his address admonished the officers and men of the Command to be dutiful and professional in their approach to National assignment as it relates to their core mandates.

2.The Minister emphasized the need for officers and men in Adamawa to be security conscious, and to enhance economic prosperity of Nigeria by ensuring that only genuine, regular migrants are allowed into the country.

3.The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service Muhammad Babandede MFR in his address noted that the Visa on Arrival at the point of Entry is not going to compromise national security against the opinion of many who misunderstood the good intentions of government, in the same vein he tasked the officers and men of the service to justify the support and commitment of the Federal government to the service to improve conditions of working environment and livelihood of the officers through the building of Command offices and Forward Operation Base for the patrol officers.

4.The Comptroller General expressed his gratitude to the Federal Government for approving the Funds for the buildings of the Forward Operation Base all around the country and State Command Complexes, the Forward Operation Base will step-up Security and patrol activities along the border Flanks of Nigeria coming at a time the Nation is strengthening Border Security along the Nation’s border frontiers.

5.In Adamawa during the commissioning of the Command the Honourable Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola tasked the Command to maintain a green environment by planting trees, also the Executive Governor of Adamawa State Adamu Umaru Fintiri ably represented by the Chief of Staff Professor Maxwell Gidado spoke on the need to maintain the structure while assuring the Command of the support of the Adamawa state government, the same gesture of support was extended to the NIS by His Excellency Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State during the Commissioning of the Forward Operation Base in DAURA-KATSINA state.
