Gen Abdul Khalifa Reels out Successes of 7 Division of Nigerian Army under him as GOC

The outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division, Major General Abdul Khalifa has said the Division under his command has recorded a lot of success in the fight against insurgency in the Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Major General Khalifa who disclosed this while speaking at the Grand reception and sendforth organised in his honour held at the 7 Division headquaters Maiduguri on Tuesday said ” i was appointed as the Acting GOC 7 Division on 25th August 2019 within my 18 months as GOC the division has recorded a lot of sucessss in our Area of Responsibility “.

”Under my command, our AOR has achieved a lot of success which include, the returned of the people of Ajiri, Ngoshe, Auno, Marte, Kawuri, Baga and recently Banki, all these are not with out challenges which are commendable”, he added.

General Khalifa also said ” i was promoted to the enviable rank of Major General which is worth celebrating but we could not cerebrate it due to the COVID-19 pandemic today we are here to celebrate both my promotion and send forth, as i have been posted out of the theater. I dedicate my promotion and success to the Officers and soldiers of the Division”.

”I will continue to identify and keep in touch with the command and my doors are always open for advice anytime you seek my advice” General Khalifa.

Also speaking, the Borno state Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Umar Kadafur said the state government has enjoyed working with the outgoing GOC and called on the incoming GOC to continue to work with the state government.

While congratulating you on your promotion and the successes recorded under your command, we wish you the best in your future endeavours and assured your successor that the state will continue to work with him, Zulum said.

In his remarks, the theater Commander Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Faruk Yahaya commended the outgoing GOC for the successes recorded under his watch describing him as officer with dedicated hardworking, integrity, and commitment who is always ready at all time to discharge his duties.

”As you leave this theater of Operation, i want you to prepare your brief to the incoming GOC to serve as a guide for him and also be ready to advice him anytime he call on your doors”, he further advised.
