ISWAP Terrorists Killed in Raid in Marte as IEDs Injure Military Troops in Abadam
Coordinated aerial bombardments by the Nigerian military has killed no fewer than 34 terrorists in Marte, the Northeast, PRNigeria reports.
This is just as nine soldiers of the Nigerian Army sustained serious injury when their convoy ran into IEDs planted by terrorists in Malam Fatori under Abadam Local Government Area of Borno State.
The troops were said to be on a mission to attack some ISWAP fighters converging at Tumbun Dan Katsina.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) troops, in conjunction with troops of the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF), on Wednesday, executed multiple airstrikes at camps of the Islamic State of West Africa Province, ISWAP, at Sabon Tumbu, a swampy area in Marte Local Government Area (LGA) Borno State.
An intelligence source said the coordinated attack launched by military troops followed a report, indicating that ISWAP terrorists, numbering over 100 on speed boats, were sighted at Sabon Tumbu.
The source, while speaking to PRNigeria, confirmed that Super Tucano Jets swiftly deployed for the operation, hit the terrorists’ hideout, killing scores of them.
“An ISR conducted within the general area indicated massive convergence of the terrorists, who had escaped from a military offensive,” he said.
He noted that sustained air offensives have impacted the jihadists’ operational command, thwarting their plans to carry out major attacks on military formations around Malam Fatori, Damasak, Gubio and Kauwa.
