Gov Yusuf frowns at Poor Ramadan Feeding Programme in Kano

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed dismay over the ongoing Ramadan Feeding program in the Kano metropolis.

This was contained in a statement issued by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor’s Spokesperson, on Friday.

The governor said he was disappointed with the program during an impromptu visit to one of the feeding centres in Gidan Maza, Municipal Local Government area.

Governor Yusuf also conveyed his dissatisfaction with the conduct of the program handlers, whom he believes are depriving the intended beneficiaries.

“We will not accept dishonesty and mismanagement of public resources. It is imperative to note that the allocated funds for this initiative are meticulously documented at each centre” the Governor cautioned

The Governor conducted the inspection following intelligence reports implying deficiencies in the management of the feeding program at various centres across the metropolis.
