Reputation Management: Global Alliance for PR Urges FG to Engage NIPR

The President of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, Justin Green, has advised the federal government to engage public relations professionals in its bid to foster national development and also fix the country’s reputational crisis.

Green gave the charge in Abuja at the end of a carnival walk to commemorate the 60 years anniversary of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR.

According to him, it is imperative that the Nigerian government and the Minister of Information and National Orientation, together with policy makers engage NIPR in boosting effective communication and proper management of national reputation.

“The NIPR has achieved quite a lot in the past 60 years. But that is not what makes her stand out. It is the ambitious vision it still has moving forward.

“The NIPR is a core family of PR practitioners at their very best, who are not only leading the PR industry in Africa, but across the country,” he said.

Green who expressed confidence in Dr. Ike Neliaku to take NIPR to extra lofty heights, reiterated their Global Alliance’s support and collaboration with the Institute.
