He further noted that the troops have engaged in complex and multifaceted operations, combating adversaries in challenging terrains and various forms.

According to him, the military is executing coordinated efforts on the ground, in the air, at sea, and in the cyber domain.

“The primary objective is to crush the terrorists who perpetuate a near-constant state of counterterrorism and counterinsurgency.”

Similarly, in the Niger Delta area, the troops discovered and destroyed 18 dugout pits, 30 boats, and 49 storage tanks used for illegal oil refining. They also recovered 1,125,440 liters of stolen crude oil, 213,539 liters of illegally refined diesel (AGO), and 1,230 liters of petrol (PMS).

“Despite facing a vicious enemy intent on causing insecurity across the country, the military has implemented measures to protect critical infrastructure and successfully thwarted several terrorist plans. Citizens are reminded of the importance of maintaining security vigilance to ensure everyone’s safety”, he added.

Buba emphasized the military’s resolve, stating, “We force the terrorists to pay a price for every act of aggression against citizens of this country. We recognize and have included this as part of our strategy to win the war.

“The military remains committed to fighting for the safety and security of Nigerian citizens, safeguarding the nation, and preserving the way of life.

“The armed forces are dedicated to defeating terrorists on the battlefield and helping the nation flourish once again,” he added.
