Senate okays Justice Kekere-Ekun as substantive CJN
The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
President of the Senate, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, presiding over her confirmation hearing, which justed ended in its Committee of the Whole in Abuja on Wednesday

Kekere-Ekun is the country’s 23rd occupant of the head of the judicial arm of government and the second female appointed to the seat.
President Bola Tinubu had on Tuesday forwarded her name to the Senate for screening and confirmation.
Justice Kekere-Ekun arrived in the Senate chambers in company with several other judicial officers.
