Nigeria ‘ll Maintain Defence Relations with France – Minister
The Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru said the Federal Government of Nigeria was committed to maintaining bilateral relations on Defence with France.
Badaru made the assurance on Wednesday, when he received the outgoing Ambassador of France to Nigeria, Emmanuelle Blatmann and her delegation at the Ship House, Abuja.

The minister said that Nigeria was ready to build on the existing relationship between the two countries.
He added that a training and technology transfer between both countries would also strengthen the bilateral relations shared by both.
While appreciating the outgoing ambassador for the cordial relationship with Nigeria, he disclosed that both countries were strategic partners and promised to further strengthen the partnership to higher levels of operations.
Earlier, the Ambassador, Blatmann commended the Nigerian Government for her warm gesture, love, and trust toward her.
She noted that there was need to develop cooperation in intelligence sharing between the two countries in the fight against extremism, terror movement and regional insecurity.
She disclosed that she had been appointed the Head of African and Indian Ocean at the Foreign Affairs Ministry in France, while promising that her country would cooperate more with Nigeria to deepen its defence relationship.
