Insecurity: Borgu Emir Suspends Emirate Councillors over Fulani Herdsmen

Insecurity: Borgu Emir Suspends Emirate Councillors over Fulani Herdsmen
His Royal Highness, Alh (DR) Muhammed S. Haliru Dantoro, the Emir of Borgu have approved the immediate suspension of some Senior councillors of the Emirate following allegations of aiding the movement of some fulanis into the Emirate contrary to the directives of the Emir and the Niger state Government.
At an emergency meeting held  at Gbemusu palace, HRH announced the suspension of Wazirin Borgu, Ubandoman Borgu,Madakin Borgu,Garkuwan Borgu and Sadaukin Borgu with immediate effect.
Furthermore, a five man committee have being constituted by the Emir to investigate the activities that led to issuance of letters and subsequent entry of some fulani into Borgu Emirate.
The committee members include; Alh. Adamu Dodo (VC Borgu Local govt) as chairman, Alh. Adamu Isah ( Iyan Borgu, Mall. Saifullah Haruna, Mall. Abubakar Sadiq (Feby President), and Alh. Idris Isah (Danburam Borgu) as Secretary. The committee have being given one week to submit her report for further necessary action.
Meanwhile, HRH have appealed to the residents of Borgu to remain peaceful and law abiding as he is committed to securing their lives and properties without any compromise.
