Bauchi, Rivers Get New Controllers of Corrections/Prisons

Following the recent redeployment of top brass of Correctional Officers across the Country by the Controller General of Correctional Service, Ja’afaru Ahmed, a new Controller of Corrections has been deployed to Bauchi. He is CCS Isa Sabo Kashuri.

The new Controller of Corrections took over the Command today, being Tuesday, 2nd Sept. 2020 from the former CCS, Suleiman T. Suleiman who was redeployed to Kano State Command of the Service.

Until his posting to Bauchi Command, I K Sabo was the Controller of Corrections in charge of Yobe State Command. An indigene of Bauchi State from Kashuri town in Itas-Gadau Local Government Area of Bauchi State, CCS Kashuri is a seasoned Correctional Officer with versed experience in the art and science of custody and reformation of offenders.

He enlisted into the Service in the year 1988 as ASP 1 and rose through ranks to become Controller of Corrections in the year 2014. He holds a BA Hons in Political Science from Bayero University, Kano and has headed many Custodial centers as Officer in charge, including Katagum, Misau, Azare Custodial Centers, amongst others.

RIVERS STATE COMMAND GETS NEW CONTROLLER OF CORRECTIONS;

The Newly posted Controller of Corrections, Rivers State Command, Odita Alex, took over the mantle of leadership at the State Headquarters, Port Harcourt on Monday 31st August, 2020. He took over from ACG Olumide Tinuoye, who has assumed office at Zone D, Minna.

Until his present posting to Rivers State Command, CC ODITA ALEX was Controller incharge Akwa Ibom State Command.
He holds a B.Sc in Management Studies from University of Jos, and M.Sc in Public Administration from Delta State University.
He has served in various capacity in the service, which include;
* Correctional Pay Officer, Cross River State Command.
* Assistant Controller of Corrections in charge Operations, Lagos State Command.
* Deputy Controller of Corrections in charge Sapele Custodial Center.
* Deputy Controller of Corrections in charge Onitsha Custodial Center.
* Special Assistant to Delta State Government on Correctional matters.
* Controller of Corrections Zone ‘G’ Benin.

He is from Delta State and Married with Children.
