How 11 Nigerian PR Agencies Bagged African SABRE Awards 2022

How 11 Nigerian PR Agencies Bagged African SABRE Awards 2022

The list of winners of the 2022 African Public Relations (PR) Awards, which recognizes Superior Achievement in Branding, Reputation, and Engagement (SABRE) has been released.

The Africa SABRE award ceremony will take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on May 25th, as part of the 2022 African Public Relations Conference. The campaigns were evaluated by a jury of industry leaders.

The Spokespersons Digest reports that 11 Nigerian PR firms bagged different categories of the awards including trophies and Certificates of Excellence.

The annual awards organised by the Provoke Media (formerly Holmes Report) in collaboration with African Public Relations Association (APRA) recognise successes recorded in brand reputation management and engagement.

The awards to the Nigerian PR agencies and their clients included four trophies and 20 Certificates of Excellence.

While BHM won two trophies for its campaigns for MTN on Public Offer and Stakeholder Engagement, Chain Reaction won the healthcare category for its campaign for Alpha Mead Health Services. The Image Merchants Promotion Limited, the publishers of PRNigeria and Economic Confidential also won the African PR trophy for its 101 Fake News on EndSARS protest. The three PR firms also bagged Certificates of Excellence for other campaigns in different categories.

Other honourees with Certificates of Excellence included LSF/PR, Integrated Indigo, RED Media, So.Me Solution, Modion Communications, Blanche Aigle Communications, Chenist. Communications and AT3 Resources.

Some of the clients of the PR firms whose campaigns won the awards include the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, NITDA, NDLEA, MTN, Lagos State Government, MTV Base, Access Bank, Wema Bank, JAC Motors, Centre for Crisis Communication, 9mobile, Mastercard Foundation, European External Action Service (EEAS), Mango Nigeria, Zola Electric, Afrilabs and Meta.
