Mr Imam particularly commended the spirit of sportsmanship displayed by a former Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Mufutau Ijaiya, who contested against Mr Dauda, saying that the contest at the meeting of the University congregation was a display of confraternity.

The IESA’s chief scribe equally thanked the management of the University led by the Vice Chancellor for providing a level playing field for the contestants and their colleagues.

The statement similarly thanked members of the University Senate and the congregation for displaying huge confidence in the capacities of Prof. Raheem and Mr Dauda, respectively, as he expressed the conviction that members of the two bodies and the University community at large would not be disappointed.

Mr Imam wished the two new Council members a very peaceful, successful and rewarding tenure of office.
