Troops Eliminate 7 Terrorists in Two Kaduna Communities
Troops deployed by the 1st Division of the Nigerian Army in Kaduna have successfully neutralized seven insurgents and recovered weapons during separate operations.
The troops in a proactive patrol along the Udawa-Kurebe road on May 19th, engaged and neutralized five insurgents and recovered an assortment of weapons including a pump action gun, ammunition, radios, and communication devices.
A statement by Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the 1st Division, detailed the encounters.

Col Yahya said troops also recovered an AK-47 rifle, , one MP3 radio, one phone battery, two Baofeng radios, two Baofeng radio chargers, four memory cards, two sim cards four charms two motorcycles from the scene.
Similarly, Troops while lying in wait at Kwaga village, troops made contact with and neutralized two insurgents and recovered two AK-47 rifles, magazines, and motorcycles.
Major General Mayirenso Saraso, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division and Commander Operation Whirl Punch, commended the troops for their actions.
He urged them to maintain their momentum and disrupt the activities of insurgents and violent extremists.
