Fashola who recently undertook a working visit to the project site located in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, said that the spot visit afforded him the opportunity to take stock of what has been done and what has been left undone.
He promised to ensure full realization of the project within the new time-frame set for its completion adding that government must deliberately complete on-going projects rather than inaugurating new
ones.
Speaking to newsmen after the inspection, the Minister said that the project has 3 components. As a multi-purpose dam Kashimbilla wa designed primarily to check or avert the threat of over-flow from the volcanic active Lake Nyos in the Cameroons.

For the power-sector, the realization of 40MW is a good omen for the attainment of the Government’s objective of incremental power supply which Nigerians are yearning for.
