    BPSR, Firm Sign MoU on Digitalisation in Public Service

    The Bureau of Public Service Reforms has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Reap Consulting Limited on a planned conference on ‘Digital Innovation for Improved Service Delivery and Civil Engagement.’

    The conference, according to the Director General of BPSR, Mr. Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, will hold in the 1st quarter of 2021, at Ibom Golf Resort, in Akwa Ibom State.

    Arabi, in a remark during the signing ceremony, noted that digitalization has come to the fore as the government pursue a public service that is strong and effective in response to the challenges of COVID-19.

    “However, while it is necessary for government to focus on making policies around e-government, the technology solution providers should understudy the peculiarities of public sector environment, particularly the bureaucratic complexities that may challenge innovation such as digitalization,” he said.

    In his remark, Dr. Gbenga Oyewole, Managing Consultant of Reap Consulting, while expressing joy over the signing of the Mou agreement, assured that their firm will do its best in ensuring that government’s services are delivered efficiently, effectively and appreciatively, so as to move the nation towards a digital economy.
