NEMA Provide Humanitarian Assistance to Kebbi Flood Victims
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has donated relief materials worth millions of naira to victims of flood disaster in Yauri, Shanga and Ngeski Local Government Areas of Kebbi state.
NEMA Director General Engr. Mustapha Yunusa Maihaja represented by the Head NEMA Sokoto Operations Office, Dr. Kofoworola Soleye led other staff of the agency to conduct the exercise held at the Premises of Yauri Emirate Palace in the presence of the delegated authorities.

The Member representing Shanga, Yauri and Ngeski at the Federal House of Representative, Hon. Yusuf Tanko Sunono, Council Chairmen of the three Local Governments, Executive Chairman of SEMA Kebbi and other very important personalities were all present at the event.
Relief materials donated to the victims are food items, clothing and other household items to alleviate and provide succour to their untold plight.
Dr. Kofo stated “This is just a token to alleviate and reduce your suffering; we know that it will not be enough to take care of all your lost, but just for you to know that the Federal Government is aware of your plight and commiserate with you.”
However, the victims commended the federal government for the kind gesture.
