TETFund bags ‘Public Affairs’ Communications Award

TETFund bags ‘Public Affairs’ Communications Award
The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), has received the award-plaque for ‘effective communication’ it won at the 2021 Spokesperson Communications Award (TSA) event.

The award ceremony was organized by Spokespersons Digest, a publication of Image Merchants Promotion Limited.

Presenting the award at the TETfund office, in Abuja, the Chief Executive Officer of Image Merchants Promotion, Mallam Yushau Shuaib represented by the Business Manager, Saad Shuaib noted that the award represent ‘Commission abhorred media engagement through series of interactions with stakeholders in the public sector which gave raise to the recognition of the the National Research Fund
(NRF)”.

Mr Saad added that ‘the effort later gain the President’s approval for increase of grant managed by the (TETFund), from an initial amount of N3 billion to N7.5 billion for the year 2020’.

In his remark, while receiving the award, the acting Director, Public Affairs , Mr Abdulmumin Oniyangi,

stressed that the office’s commitment was inline the vision of the Executive Secretary, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Prof. Elias Bogoro, Who was garlanded for his outstanding contributions in the field of education.

Oniyangi added that ” Prof. Bogoro, in his capacity at TETFund has consistently sought the institutionalisation of research and development (R&D) in the nation’s tertiary institutions so as to be more globally competitive. His tenure at TETFund has also witnessed a steady improvement in academia-industry collaborations.”

He, however, appreciated the effort of the convener of the award for recognizing the agency for the contribution of education.
